What you need to know
It’s essential to keep the salt level above the water line in your brine tank. When the salt drops too low, the softener can’t produce a strong enough brine solution to recharge the resin beads. That means it won’t effectively remove hard minerals like calcium and magnesium from your water. Over time, this can lead to noticeable issues — like spotting on dishes, buildup on faucets and fixtures, and even long-term damage to plumbing and appliances. Keeping enough salt in the tank ensures your system runs efficiently and consistently delivers soft water.

Quarterly Delivery & Billing
Our salt delivery service operates on a quarterly basis, with deliveries and billing every three months.

Initial Requirement:

To ensure uninterrupted water softening performance, we kindly ask that your brine tank is at least 75% full at the time of sign-up. This helps prevent your tank from reaching a critically low level before your first delivery.

Billing Details:

Billing begins on the day of your first delivery. No charges will be applied during the sign-up process.

After your initial payment, you'll be automatically billed every three months on the same day. Your delivery will always take place in the same month as your billing, but the exact delivery date may vary.

Delivery Schedule:

Once enrolled, your delivery schedule will be assigned based on your geographic location.

Delivery Notifications
We’ll keep you informed as your scheduled delivery date approaches:

1 week prior: You’ll receive an email with your delivery date and estimated arrival time.

48 hours prior: A follow-up email will provide a narrower, 2-hour delivery window.
Delivery Made Easy

If you're home: Our team will bring the salt bags inside and refill your brine tank.

If you're away: We'll leave the bags at your front door and notify you once delivery is complete

By signing up for a Gem State Salt subscription, you agree to receive recurring deliveries every 3 months (quarterly) and understand that your subscription will automatically renew at the current rate unless canceled at least 7 days prior to your next scheduled delivery.
